About Banepa
Banepa (Nepali: बनेपा) is a historic town and municipality located in the heart of central Nepal, about 25 kilometers (16 miles) east of Kathmandu. Nestled in a picturesque valley at an altitude of approximately 1,500 meters (4,900 feet), Banepa is known for its rich cultural heritage, spiritual landmarks, and growing urban development.As of the 2021 Nepal Census,Banepa is home to over 67,690 residentsBanepa today is a blend of tradition and progress. It is a growing center for education, healthcare, commerce, and technology. Institutions like Scheer Memorial Hospital, Kathmandu University (nearby in Dhulikhel), and multiple colleges and training centers contribute to the town’s growing potential.
About Banepa Junior Jaycees
Banepa Junior Jaycees is a local chapter of the global Junior Chamber movement, dedicated to empowering young people to create positive change in society. Established with a vision to develop leadership skills, foster community spirit, and inspire civic responsibility, Banepa Junior Jaycees has been actively serving the Banepa community through impactful projects, trainings, and youth-driven initiatives.
We believe that active citizenship starts at the local level, and that meaningful development is possible when young people take charge of shaping their own communities. Our members come from diverse backgrounds but share a common goal: to grow as leaders while making Banepa a better place to live.
